Aid organizations

Nature conservation, animal welfare and humanitarian aid

Environmental protection is usually limited to nature and animal protection. For us, environmental protection means combining humanitarian aid with nature and animal protection.

AID ORGANIZATIONS

The somewhat different Organization

PROJECT WINGS

We want people to get excited about helping again!

“Helping is fun”. We’ve all heard that before. And indeed: it’s true. Helping is fulfilling and makes you happy in the long term. You become active, compensate for grievances or help other people. But why does helping make people happy?

So helping makes people happy all round, but why, according to the latest statistics, are fewer and fewer private individuals helping? We have been dealing with this question for months. That’s why we at Project Wings want to give people the opportunity to participate in a project, interact with the entire team and make environmental protection socially acceptable.

donate today

33 reasons why people no longer want to donate.

Years of experience in fundraising led us to the decision to list the biggest fundraising problems. By founding Project Wings, we have created an aid organization that eliminates these reasons right from the start and makes helping fun again!

We have listed 25 of these reasons for you here.

… “does nothing”, as there is no proof of concept

… the project cannot be visited on site

… the organization’s image is poor

… too much internal expenditure, e.g. for salaries or administration

… “I want 100% of my private donation to be used.”

… the project should have a long-term sustainable effect.

… I don’t want to support “white savioralism”.

… I am generally against monetary donations.

… “Project only combats symptoms, not causes.

… Minimum contribution too high.

… would prefer to be able to help on site.

… not of age, cannot dispose of their own money.

… would rather help in Germany.

… has no relation to the project (topic).

… “I don’t like animals.”

… “How am I supposed to save the world?”

… “It’s not my problem.”

… long-term relationships.

… “Contract”.

… “I don’t want to do anything on the street.”

… Issue account data.

… with a joint account: Make a decision without consultation.

… “I still have to think about it.”

… “That’s too spontaneous for me.”

… “No time!”

OUR MISSION

We make environmental protection socially acceptable!

Many small people doing many small things in many small places can change the face of the world.

We don't want to point the finger at individuals. We prefer to show you how you can simply and effectively give something back to our planet!

Sustainability has become a growing “trend”. Fortunately! At the same time, however, there is also an increase in incidents in which people who are already committed to the cause are insulted (especially on social media) because they have bought peppers wrapped in plastic, for example. There is now even a term for this behavior: eco-shaming .

Living sustainably is really challenging when you look at the details, as you don’t know the exact carbon footprint of every product. Dangerous half-knowledge often circulates here, which repeatedly ends in verbal mud-slinging online.

Of course, it is now more important than ever to be aware of your (consumer) behavior and its impact. We want to act as a mediator and show you how you can act more sustainably in everyday life in a simple and effective way. Because we are convinced that if a majority of people take small steps towards sustainability, we will achieve more overall than if a small minority “does everything perfectly”.

P.S.: We are happy to draw the attention of large companies to their environmentally harmful behavior. 😉

WHOLE

Why Project Wings?

Holistic environmental protection.

MAN – ANIMAL – NATURE

Project Wings combines humanitarian aid with nature and animal protection. We are the environmental organization for active climate protection that encompasses nature, animals and people. Because nature conservation is more than just environmental aid. Project Wings gives plastic waste a new use. We are building the world’s largest recycling village from 250 tons of plastic waste. We protect the breathtaking biodiversity with the help of rangers and reforestation. We offer environmental education programs for children and adults. We empower women and create safe spaces. We promote organic farming.

THE LARGEST RECYCLING VILLAGE IN THE WORLD

To prevent plastic waste from spreading further into the environment, we put it in plastic bottles! Thanks to our innovative construction method using local and mostly natural materials, plastic waste is given a new use as a building material.

Since 2019, a special place has been created at the gates of the Sumatran rainforest. Here, global challenges are communicated in a tangible way and solutions are established. People, nature and animals are helped in this holistic project concept.

HELP US!

If you find our concept worth supporting and would like to provide humanitarian aid as well as nature and animal protection, then join us and become a Wings Member! In this way, you help to preserve the earth for future generations and create a holistic and self-sustaining system.

What aid organizations are there?

There are many non-profit organizations. The founding team of Project Wings worked for world-renowned NGOs years ago. Plan International, Unicef and others. These are all serious projects that help. They provide emergency aid and fight against famine or poverty. But there are also organizations for nature and environmental protection. Or animal welfare organizations.

Project Wings wants to change the world of aid organizations. As an aid organization, we stand for transparency, team spirit and creativity. Our motto is:“Find a way, not an excuse“.

What are NGOs?

NGO stands for non-governmental organization. In German, this means non-governmental organizations. The aid organizations of the UN, for example, are not NGOs. NGOs are internationally oriented, non-governmental and independent organizations. No profit targets may be pursued here

Aid organizations that really help

“My donation should really help!”. That is everyone’s greatest wish. But where and how can you help the most? One euro can achieve less in Germany than in Brazil or Indonesia. This is due to the different currencies. For example, basic care for a person abroad can cost less than one euro. This is simply not possible in Germany.

Nevertheless, one euro can help a lot in Germany! Social work is also important here. This also requires donations.

There are aid organizations that really help! German projects or organizations abroad come in all shapes and sizes. And most of them are reputable! Whether you want to donate for the climate, children or animals: If you ask yourself these three questions, you will find the right organization for you.

If you are missing any information, please contact the organization! Whether by phone or e-mail, they will be happy to answer your questions.

Which organization receives the most?

Many people ask themselves which aid organization receives the most donations. The important thing is: Not all aid organizations in Germany do serious work. When I make a donation, the organization decides where it can use the donation sustainably. In the rarest of cases, 100 percent of the donations are invested in the project. Offices and staff must also be paid. Administrative costs of between 5-35% are common for many established organizations.

Project Wings works in Germany with a small team. Thanks to the Wings Experience, Wings Life and the Wings Coin, we receive money that we use for administrative expenses.

For example, 100% of private donations to the environmental aid organization Project Wings go to the project. This enables us to carry out urgently needed and meaningful work.

We have strengthened our project over the past four years. We created more than 70 permanent jobs in Indonesia. Our project has a meaningful impact on endangered animals and destroyed nature, as well as on people.

Who should you donate to?

We recommend asking three questions before deciding on a donation.

1. do the organization’s ideals largely coincide with mine?

2. can I visit the project myself and gain my own insight?

3. are there trustworthy reports from the media or other supporters? This also includes celebrities and volunteers.

Why are aid organizations important?

Not everyone can protect species and help children in their everyday lives. That’s why we need aid organizations to support us. Aid organizations are addressing the challenges. This commitment needs money. And experts. Organizations can achieve great things because many people join forces. Everyone gives what he or she can.
