Volunteering

Would you like to gain new experiences and discover new skills in a foreign country? We look forward to your support!

VOLUNTEERING

You can actively help!

Our project region is Bukit Lawang, a small town in the north of Sumatra at the foot of Gunung Leuser National Park, where you can still see orangutans living in the wild. The people living there are full of warmth and usually have a smile on their faces.

As maximum transparency is very important to us, every supporter has the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of Project Wings in Indonesia. You can take a look at each of the 4 project areas Recycling Village, (Green) Education, Waste Management and Permaculture & Conservation and actively help with upcoming tasks.
The possible applications change and depend on the current campaigns. Among other things, you will help out where there is currently the greatest demand, giving you the opportunity to get to know many different departments and gain a wide range of knowledge.

Accommodation and daily meals are provided right next to the rainforest.

We are active all year round, which is why you can take part in our volunteer program all year round. You decide how long you want to stay: You can stay for one week or up to 6 months.

Here you will find our volunteer brochure, which contains further important information on travel, accommodation, packing list, culture, language etc.
